The Parent Resource Center team members know that everyone has the potential to strengthen their skills and without placing blame, we act as guides for the family, building on the strengths of the parents to transform their own lives and the lives of their children, through strength based teaching we help parents to identify and let go of negative and self defeating thinking, and expand upon their knowledge in a safe and nurturing environment. At PRC we believe that parent education and support play a crucial part in the prevention of family violence.
Oue team consists of one full time Executive Director who also is a parent educator and visitation supervisor, a part time program coordinator who is also a parent educator, 3 part time parent educators and 1 part time visit supervisor who works solely in the Family Access program.
We encourage the use of student interns in our 3 levels of programming. we have had the pleasure of having interns in mental health and human services field as well as masters level social work. We also use volunteers in our programming to see that we are able to keep our service fees affordable for families.
As a non-profit agency we are guided by a dedicated board of directors made up of community members who work hand in hand with Executive Director to oversee policy and procedures to see that the agency is doing its utmost to reach our goals and our mission.
